First makeup haul of the new year! So I went a little crazy in Sephora. Can you blame me? I couldn’t make up my mind and I almost walked out with more (I’ll wait to get the Naked Basics pallet and the Nars lip glossses later.)
The purchases (most of it is from Kat Von D’s makeup line. I highly recommend all of her makeup products. Phenomenal quality.) :
Urban Decay eyeshadow The Feminine Pallet- I can’t even explain how beautiful this pallet is. The packaging alone (which can be reused for various items when the eyeshadow is all done, by the way!) is breathtaking. The eye colours are striking. It also comes with a very pretty travel size lipgloss.
Kat Von D True Romance eyeshadow pallet in Beethoven- Can I just swoon how wonderful Kat’s makeup products are?! I’ve never tried her eyeshadows before so I’m very excited to try them out. It’s very bold and edgy, yet classic.
Kat Von D True Romance eyeshadow pallet in Poetica- I couldn’t decide between Beethoven and this (Poetica) so I bought both. You only live once, you know? The colours are very romantic. Let me take a moment to rave about the packaging in all of Kat’s makeup/perfumes, it’s absolutely stunning!
Eyelid primer by Kat Von D- I originally wanted the Urban Decay eyelid primer but it was much more expensive and Kat’s primer I’ve heard works just as well, if not better, and you get more primer.
Kat Von D Autograph eyeliner in “Black Metal Love”: it’s a liquid eyeliner. I have no luck with a liquid eyeliner that I truly love. The ones I have tried were simply meh. I was looking for a liquid liner that would last for almost a whole night and was recommended by the sales associate to try this one. I’ll let you all know how it is when I try it out.
Kat Von D Everlasting Love Liquid Lipstick in “Berlin”. A month ago, I’ve purchased one of Kat’s liquid lipsticks (colour: Adora) and I immediately fell in love with it! I never had the courage to wear lipstick before. My skin completion is deathly white, so I thought lipstick would make me look overwhelming. But after talking to one of the Sephora associates, I tried Adora and I loved it. The lipstick, which is liquid (duh!) lasts for quite a while without having to touching it up. Even without using lip primer! Impressive, right? It also looks great on fair skin tones. I can understand why these lipsticks get rave reviews. I think in the future I’ll purchase the colour Jeffree as well.
So that’s it for now! I need to get a social life so I can actually wear this makeup.
